"There’s a deep spirituality of nature embedded in the landscape of her drawings. She's producing a spiritual archeology where you can actually see the layers of nature unfolding. These layers of nature – trees, plants and the animals - all live and eventually die and their life force is absorbed by the earth. In Jennifer’s art, there’s a rediscovery and unearthing of that spiritual energy. She’s delving into a ‘primitive’ prehistory – a place where imaginations are formed and dream archetypes emanate." "I have collected self-taught artists long before I knew the artists were self-taught. I started collecting self taught artists seriously around 1987. My wife Sue and I loved getting in the car and spending time with these talented individuals. Good art is made by good artists and great art by great artists. It doesn’t matter if you are trained or self taught. It is a matter of natural TALENT. Then there is for me, "is the creation honest". I can’t truly describe this, but I know immediately when I see it.Jennifer’s art is created because she is driven to create. She sees things we don’t and has the ability to communicate these. Jennifer is a pure artist. No apologies. No restraints. She creates because she must; not because she is trying to please a client or create what the world thinks is in fashion. I think I just described honest art. All of this is important to me. However, the art must be good. I judge self-taught art mostly by color, line and space and seek artists that have a special signature that doesn’t really need a signature to indemnify their creations. Jennifer is a very special, singular artist.I am proud to have her work in my collection and hope she will continue updating me with her artistic growth."
